Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

“Oh, I will dance with Cinderella, I don’t want to miss even one song,
‘Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight,
And she’ll be gone.”

This Steven Curtis Chapman song, Cinderella, will be played as my daughter and I dance at her wedding reception. I am thankful for the blessing of her and my new son-in-law. My bank account—and my emotions—are also grateful that my three daughters decided to spread out their respective weddings over a span of ten years!

As this school year comes to a close, I am reminded of this song. Soon, your students will go their own ways for the summer. Your influence on them will be finished. But the lessons you taught and the examples you have modeled will remain with them their entire lives.

Thank you for your dedication to your students. As the clock soon strikes midnight for this school year and you rush to complete essential curriculum topics, be sure to step back and enjoy your students. Then, be sure to take time for yourself this summer so you can turn around and invest in your new crop of students next year.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We here at KEYTA are thankful for you and all you do!

P.S. I encourage you to listen to the song mentioned above. Dads with daughters—grab the tissue box!
