Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) has asked us to share with members their summer teaching opportunity. Johns Hopkins CTY is dedicated to identifying and developing the talents of academically advanced K-12 students. They provide students with fun, challenging courses; a community of engaged learners; and a strong foundation for future success in college and their careers.
Johns Hopkins is actively interviewing and hiring adjunct instructional staff for the June and July sessions located throughout the country for their 2-12th grade programs. Responsible for teaching an appropriately challenging and rigorous course to approximately 12-14 highly able students; courses are offered in mathematics, science and technology, writing, and humanities and social sciences. Other positions available are to fill the rolls of academic counselor, academic dean, computer support, dean of students, health assistant and administrative support. Staff have the option to commute or live on site. Room and board is covered at all residential site locations.
