Congratulations! You did it! You made it through the school year! I don’t know how many times I commented to a friend or colleague that even after 40 years of teaching, I felt like a rookie teacher again this year. With my remote classes, face to face students and the hybrid groups, it was about all I could do to keep up with the workload. Add to this mix two new classes, no wonder this year was all-consuming. When asked if I was going to retire this year, I tell people, not yet, as next year will be a breeze compared to this one!
I trust you can relax some this summer. After my daughter’s wedding, a week of reading AP tests, and moving my other daughter home from Pittsburgh for her clinicals, I am looking forward to some gardening and other less mentally taxing activities. (Weeds do not talk back or give me attitude when I pull them…) Take time to reconnect with your family. Make sure you take some “me” time this summer. Recharge so you can be your best as you head back to the classroom in the fall.
Please know that KEYTA is here for you during the good times and the rough ones. Please reach out to our staff with any questions or concerns you may have. Staff was kept busy with many of your questions. That is why we are here. We exist to support YOU!!
