Coronavirus Update – Schools Closed Indefinitely

Schools Closed Indefinitely

Due to the spread of the Coronavirus, on Monday, March 30, Governor Wolf issued a statement that all schools will now remain closed until further notice.

The PA Department of Education recently reported that they have been working diligently with the Commonwealth’s 29 Intermediate Units and regional PaTTANs to develop resources and technical assistance opportunities to assist districts in creating and implementing “continuity of education plans.”

Across the state, schools and educators have been working to shift classroom instruction to remote learning platforms.  Districts are working to equip students with laptops and ascertain where internet connectivity is needed.

The Department of Education stated that they will soon be providing more support and information regarding continuity of education plans since it’s unknown when our schools will be able to reopen.
