NEA’s Stance on Abortion now Documented
KEYTA Welcomes Pro-Life Teachers
Delegates at the 2019 National Education Association Representative Assembly approved the passage of Business Item 56, which states: “The NEA vigorously opposes all attacks on the right to choose and stands on the fundamental right to abortion under Roe v. Wade.”
This resolution openly endorses the use of union dues to support this Item, even though it may go against the fundamental beliefs of a large portion of their membership.
Many KEYTA members have joined us largely over this issue alone.
The Keystone Teachers Association has chosen to abstain from taking positions on social issues. As a KEYTA member, your dues are never spent on special interest causes.
