2026 Student Art Contest

The Keystone Teachers Association (KEYTA) is excited to announce the launch of our 250th anniversary of American independence art contest. We are inviting students to express their creativity in celebration of this historic milestone. This contest is open to students of all grade levels and may be incorporated into any classroom, it is not limited to art classes. Students are welcome to create their artwork using any medium, including crayon, pencil, ink, paint, or mixed media.

This special contest encourages students to reflect on this historic milestone and express their creativity through art. We can’t wait to see the unique perspectives and talent from classrooms across our Keystone community.

Grade Categories & Eligibility

The contest is open to students whose teachers are members of KEYTA.

Awards will be presented in four grade categories:

  • Kindergarten – 3rd Grade
  • 4th – 5th Grade
  • 6th – 8th Grade
  • 9th – 12th Grade

KEYTA will recognize two winning students in each category.

Prizes

For each grade category, two student winners will be selected.

  • Student winners: Each receives a $25 Amazon gift card
  • Teacher of each winning student: Receives a $100 classroom grant to support learning and creativity in the classroom

Student winner gift cards will be sent to the teacher for distribution.

Submission Deadline

Final date for submissions: April 30, 2026
All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on April 30 to be considered.

We encourage members to begin planning ways to engage their students in this exciting opportunity. We look forward to seeing the creativity and thoughtful perspectives your students will bring to this commemorative contest.
